Student Barista Course

Make the most of your school break and learn a skill you can use anywhere in the world. Our Student Barista Course at McCabe’s Coffee is an intensive, hands-on training programme designed to take you from complete beginner to confident barista in just three days.

Course Schedule
3 full days | 9:00am – 5:00pm

Delivered during school holiday periods, so you can train while you’re off and be job-ready by the time term starts again.

What You’ll Learn
Over the three days you’ll work on professional equipment covering:

•         Dialling in & calibrating espresso machines and grinders to achieve perfect, consistent shots

•         Specialty drink construction – from classic espresso drinks to modern café favourites

•         Latte art techniques – texture, pouring and presentation

•         Alternative brew methods including filter, French press and more

•         Customer service skills – workflow, communication and creating a great café experience

You’ll learn about building speed, confidence and practical skills that employers look for.
