If you've just discovered McCabe's Coffee, welcome! We're a specialty coffee roastery based in Co. Wicklow, and we've been hand-roasting small batches for over 27 years. We were one of Ireland's first micro-roasteries, and the passion for coffee that started us off is still what drives us today.

How We Operate
We roast exclusively in small batches, every day, here at our roastery in Newtownmountkennedy, ensuring that our coffee is fresh and at its best when it arrives on your doorstep. Everything we roast is 100% Arabica specialty-grade coffee, sourced from single estates and small co-operatives across the world. Our coffees are scored by Q Graders, with most scoring between 85 and 90, and our microlot coffees often in the 90+ range.

We're proud to be known for having Ireland's Most Award-Winning Organic Coffees. we've been collecting Great Taste awards as far back as 2015, with our organic Blend 15 being the most recent addition to our considerable list of award-winning coffees, having become Ireland's only 3-star winner at the Great Taste Awards in 2025.

What We Offer
Coffees for every taste. Our range of coffee beans online covers a wide variety of specialty blends, single origin, and Microlot coffees (rare, small-batch coffees, often made using experimental processing), all freshly roasted here in our roastery.

Award Winning Organic
Mocha Java, Wicklow Organic and McCabe's Organic Blend. A certified organic trio, every one a Great Taste Gold winner.
Light Roast
Colombia Organic, Kenya and Ethiopia Organic. Bright and fruity, with notes of apricot, blackberry and jasmine.
Medium Roast
Espresso Malabar, Pura Vida and Toba Lake. Smooth and well rounded, with hazelnut, milk chocolate and fudge.
Dark Roast
McCabe's Blend, Brazil and Monsoon Malabar. Bold and intense, with rich dark chocolate throughout.
Organic
Brazil Organic, Rich Organic and Guatemala Organic. Notes of biscuit, toffee and black cherry.

Free delivery. We offer free delivery on any one-off orders of over €40 in Ireland, and any new customers will also get 10% off their first order when they join our email list.

If you like to explore, our coffee club subscriptions are a great fit. Each club features seasonal coffee from the best growing regions, roasted at peak season.

Learn With Us: Barista Training
We opened the first Barista School in Co. Wicklow in 2015, at our roastery here in Newtownmountkennedy. Whether you want to learn how to make better coffee at home, learn proper latte art techniques, or even start a career in coffee, we have a course for you:
Our courses cover everything from espresso, milk texturing, latte art, equipment care, and customer service. Group discounts are available, and gift vouchers make a great present for the coffee lover in your life. Our Head Trainer, Renata, will help with dates and bookings.
Home Barista Course
Get the best from your home espresso machine. Learn extraction, milk steaming and latte art. Saturday mornings, max 4 people.
Latte Art Training
Master the heart, tulip and rosetta. A 3 hour session full of pouring practice and guidance, from milk science to technique.

Doing Coffee Responsibly
Great coffee shouldn't just be good for people, it should also be good for the planet. Here's how we back that up:
- Organic: We supply Ireland's largest range of certified organic coffee, and from 2027 every bean we buy will be Certified Organic or EUDR compliant.
- Measured impact: We've calculated our carbon footprint every year since 2020 and publish an annual Sustainability Report. We're Gold members of Origin Green.
- Greener operations: 70% of our fleet is electric, our retail packaging is 100% recyclable, and our wholesale customers are provided with reusable drums.
- Fair to farmers: We only exclusively work with farms that pay fair incomes and legal minimum wages, provide proper water, sanitation and housing, and use no child labour.
- Giving back: We give 1% of our annual revenue to community and environmental causes. These include Jack's Mill biodiversity project (we plant a tree for every new coffee subscription), regular beach clean-ups, free coffee and training for homeless community cafés, and free coffee for over-70s in participating cafés.
