The Great Taste Awards are the world’s largest and most trusted food and drink accreditation, with over 14,000 entries annually. Of these, just 2% of products earn the highest 3-star distinction, a testament to exceptional flavour, quality, and craftsmanship.
ABOUT 'BLEND 15'
‘Blend 15’ was created to celebrate 15 years of coffee roasting in Co. Wicklow. The blend features three Certified Organic Arabica origins that are carefully roasted individually before blending:
- Colombian Castillo variety from La Orquidea cooperative in Tolima – the backbone of this award-winning espresso.
- Sumatran beans from Sara Ata cooperative, which McCabe’s team personally visited in 2020.
- Heirloom Ethiopian coffee from the Negele cooperative in Yirgacheffe, a partnership McCabe’s will revisit in January 2025.
The result is a bright and complex espresso with fruity acidity, nutty sweetness with hints of toffee and chocolate, and a structured body, brought to life by McCabe’s expert roasting team, who carefully control airflow and heat for the perfect balance.
The Blend 15 is available in our online store and is always roasted to order. We expect it will likely sell out as news of this win permeates the coffee world, so don’t wait about.
