Thiriku is a very special washing station in Kenya. One that has consistently produced some of the best tasting lots in the country, and also provides their farmers with the highest wages in the nation. Our partner Trabocca Coffee has invested in the agronomy, processing, and financial stability of the co-op, with the goal of maintaining the impressive quality and maximizing wages for its growers.

For the last few years, Thiriku-affiliated farmers smiled all the way to the bank after receiving the highest pay rate for their produce, thanks to direct sales to our importers, Trabocca in the Netherlands. Good quality and proper crop husbandry contributed to higher earnings for the farmers who have partnered with an independent coffee laboratory to ensure it meets the required quality standards.
