Business Update: The Next Step in the McCabe's Story

Today marks an exciting milestone in our 27 years, as we share that McCabe’s Coffee has joined Cafento, one of Spain’s largest coffee companies.

This is the beginning of a really exciting new chapter for our business and our team. Cafento is a family coffee business with more than 90 years’ experience and an international presence across Spain, France and Central Europe. They share our values, our commitment to quality, and our long-term approach.

Same small team, same goals, same local operation

McCabe’s continues as an independent brand from our roastery in Co. Wicklow. We will keep roasting our 100% Arabica in small batches and supporting the cafés and hospitality teams we work with across Ireland and Northern Ireland, now with the added scale, backing and reach of Cafento behind us.

Sustainability has been central to how we have built McCabe’s. We have measured our carbon footprint every year since 2020, across our own operations and our full supply chain, with independently audited reporting, and we are proud Gold members of Bord Bia’s Origin Green.

Our customers will continue to receive the same coffee, quality and service they expect. We are grateful to everyone who has supported McCabe’s over the years, our customers and our team.
